Term of office: 4 years from 09.10.14
I came to live in Horsham with my husband, David, in 1977. We joined St Mary’s Church and have worshipped there and been a part of its community ever since. We have four children who were all born and brought up in Horsham, attending St Mary’s School and subsequently The Holy Trinity School in Crawley. I am delighted that two of our three grandchildren are now at St Mary’s and are enjoying it as much as our children did.
After starting my working life with a career in design I went on to retrain as a Design & Technology teacher, working at The Holy Trinity School for nearly 20 years. I have now retired from teaching but continue to work for David who is an architect, and love to be able to spend time with our grandchildren. I also enjoy gardening, walking and being creative.
St Mary’s is a fantastic school and I am very pleased to have been appointed by the Diocese to serve on the governing body. I am looking forward to spending time in school supporting the children and staff on a practical level, and also to playing a part in ensuring that the school’s current success continues to develop and grow.
