Term of Office: 4 years from 03.12.14
My family and I have been members of the St Mary’s congregation for the last 13 years, having lived in the area from a very young age.
I believe in the importance and value of the Church of England ethos, in particular providing the highest standards of teaching and supporting children in the local church community. We wanted our children to benefit from a school where family is valued, children are taught to care for each other and faith is accessible to all ages.
Our daughter Olivia is in Year 10 at Millais after having spent seven very successful years at St Mary’s. Our son Leo is in Year 6. Both children have made excellent progress thanks to the dedicated support of the enthusiastic staff.
In addition to a degree in Medical Science, I have customer facing experience; communicating with people at all levels, experience of managing and leading a team, as well as being part of a team. My current position offers experience of auditing, health & safety, risk assessment, quality assurance and policies & procedures. Other skills include understanding and interpreting legislation, managing change, raising standards and achieving excellence.
I am grateful for the opportunity to support the school and to give back some of the knowledge and experience I have gathered. I am in the fortunate position of holding a flexible part time position which enables me to dedicate the necessary time to the role.
